=DDD

ooh! ah! ah eh ba! ooh! ah! ah eh ba!

yay! VLC can play properly and just now during the presentation, everything ran very smoothly =)

Praise the Lord! ^^

Budget Video and Photographs

when we got married, we were on a budget so we made THE BIG MISTAKE of getting our friends to shoot photos n video for us. at that time i wasn't into photography yet so i didn't know people like MRT, roy, rog or chek so imagine point n shoots n compact video cams -.-

our video guy W was the WORST!!! he is chris' goodest bestest friend (they've known each other for more than 20 years, since pembry school). he'd walk with the video cam so the whole thing looked like the blair witch project and when he wanted to enter our houses and needed to take off his shoes, he pointed the cam down at his feet!!!!!!!!!!! needless to say, we ended up with NO photos of our wedding and NO video as well cos, even the not-photog-trained me at that time couldn't tahan the lousy quality of the photos n videos -______-|||

that day in the car...

chris: dear, W is getting married
me: oh? can i offer to be his video girl? i want take revenge.
chris: NO!!!!
me: i want. tell him i'll be his video girl... go
chris: NO DEAR! u r v vindictive
me: i want. then i will video my feet when i take off shoes...

eh, at least my shoes will look nice k?

*grumble grumble*

Baby Woes

no, i'm not pregnant! wait long long er...

well last night pris she said she knows someone who got retrenched at 8 months pregnancy -.- angry... the employer is so ying xian!!! how can he do that?? and what's worse is this lady's sister also suffered the same fate! so now both sisters kena forced to be "tai tai" at home.

how can people have the peace of mind to procreate and start a family with employers like that??? i think they should shoot letter to PM Lee, cc to Minister for Manpower and shoot another letter to forum page. hearing things like that just makes my blood boil. as it is, having a kid already implies various incurred costs and not to mention FUTURE increase in expenses and the employer had the heart to just retrench them like that!!!

>.< angry

Trust In The Lord

that said (about my bad dream)... last night our bible study group had a severe lack of Y chromosomes so the girls had a great time of CONTEMPORARY worship (kekeke...), sharing and prayer. ling and pris prayed me for regarding the slideshow that everything will run smoothly and i'll just trust God ^^

it's refreshing to have extended time of sharing and prayer cos usually bible study takes up the bulk of the time then we have to just chop chop share and pray.

Paranoia

think i'm v paranoid neh... i had a nightmare last night that my slideshow play out is TOTALLY different!!! LOL like it became a totally different slideshow hahaha... then i was so stunned i could see myself in my dream w roy's 20D and 24-70 f/2.8L on my neck and my 400D with fisheye lens on my right shoulder (he is loaning me his cos he is not free got to mingle with the sponsors. two cams no need keep changing lens ma LOL) standing there utterly shocked. so shocked until can't react can't cry...

LOL

SOBS

i feel so upset now i am crying... like REALLY crying. you know i have been spending a lot of time doing a slideshow for my company to show to sponsors of new clients and everyone who has seen it said it's v nice. but just now they tried it on a PC and somehow, the audio keeps coming out distorted... i suggested using my macbook pro but they feel uncomfortable cos they're not familiar with macbook. and because of the toggling between players and all (it's a long story), it's really better if they use just one lap top rather than two so to cut the long story short, they're using a PC to play my video with the audio distortions. i don't know if you understand my pain now but to have the work you spent so much effort doing not shown in it's fullest really makes my heart ache like mad...

it's like on your wedding day you have a damn big pimple on your nose or a damn bad sunburn or a damn bad haircut
or the soup you spent hours cooking someone pour a bowl of salt into it
or someone SCRATCH your new car with a key
or your photo is printed with the exposure, colours, temperature all wrong from what you had intended

it's just PURE. HEART. PAIN.

period.

i called chris, he is at work not sure how to fix the problem. the other mac expert quentin not picking up his phone. roy also doesn't know what to do.

i feel super super sad now i don't know if i can even bear to look at my own video tomorrow. i'm afraid i will cry...

want show my video with distortions, i rather it not be shown at all. serious.

Hand Me Downs

chris heard me grumble that i need a macbook pro so he came up with a brilliant idea...

chris: dear dear! u want macbook pro right?! i got great idea!!!
me: -.- i know what your great idea is... you buy new one i use your old one -.-
chris: =DDDDDDDD how u know??? =DDDDDD u r so clever
me: -.-

do i look like a cheapskate???

Festivities

My goodest bestest friend jiahui's birthday is coming and over the years, we've run out of things to get for each other cos what one wants, the other can't afford e.g. macbook pro and cairnhill condo -.-

so i guess i'll make a reservation at one of our favourite chi-chi restaurants. really don't know what to buy for her... headache headache...

chris n my ROM anniversary also coming soon... so also headache don't know what to buy cos i can't afford macbook pro (chris wants the new macbook pro too) and he can't afford cairnhill condo =P

Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Today on my way home from work, I saw people shooting pictures of the sky with their phone cams so instinctively i looked up and HWA!!!!! RAINBOW!!!! TWO some more!!! so i bolted back my office to grab my cam and paparazzi-ed away.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and just stood there to admire the rainbow.

I love rainbows because a rainbow is a reminder of God's covenant. In the story of Noah (as in Noah's Ark), after Noah emerged from the ark, God painted the sky with a rainbow and promised Noah that He will never flood the face of the whole earth to kill all mankind again.

Genesis 9: 12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

I went home humming the song with a smile on my face =)

Somewhere over the rainbow
way up high
in the land
that I heard of once
Once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
skies are blue
and the dreams
that you dare to dream
really do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a star
and wake up
where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
away above the chimney tops
that's where you'll find me

Someday I'll wish upon a star
and wake up
where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
away above the chimney tops
that's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
skies are blue
and the dreams...that you dare to dream
really do come true
If happy little bluebirds fly
above the rainbow, why
Oh, why can't I?

What a wonderful way to end my day (^^)V

Red Light Day

wa biang, yesterday was red light day man... EVERY traffic junction i went to, the light was red or amber!!!! EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! can't believe this. usually in one lesson can do 2 test routes but cos of the stupid red lights and the super long Q at the u-turn, end up we only had time to do one -.- *heartpain* one lesson $75 only do ONE test route...

TV Shows That Make Me Cry

occasionally i watch the celebrity cooking show hosted by a taiwanese food connoiseur guy called "3 veg 1 soup". it's a TV show that features celebrities in a cooking competition and from my observation, i can see that some of them really don't cook very often. i won't say i'm a v good cook but i can at least cook a decent meal and know some basics of cooking. and most of the time i can tell from the way a person holds the knife and the frying slice whether that person cooks often. well-seasoned cooks cut things and fry things got "seh" one, not miang jiang... it's v natural one. that day chris' colleagues came and one of his guy colleagues needed to cut the mushroom... his name is JB

JB: wa, i like your knife!
me: thanks, i like it too
chris: dear, JB got cook one k?
me: i know
JB: wa, how you know?
me: from the way you hold the knife i know.
JB: wa, v stressed neh!!!!

LOL

anw, tonight's episode was exceptionally excruciating to watch... when i see the way joanne peh and dawn yeoh cook, i really want to cry. dawn yeoh steamed her salmon (or rather, boiled it wrapped in foil n lotus leaf) for TWENTY minutes -.- where got people cook fish for so long one? then she kept forgetting to cut this cut that. and joanne peh actually used the new year fish... so brave of her. people don't usually like that fish. either you love it or you hate it so it's really tricky. and her sichuan veg, she blanched until no taste le -.- in the end joanne peh won a set of pots and she exclaimed, "ma! give to you!" -.- shouldn't she keep them and practise her cooking?? LOL

haiz... i am v old fashioned in this aspect. i believe women should know how to cook. because, it's nice for a man after a hard day's work to come home to hot soup and a nice dinner. everyday eat outside food is both not nutritious and expensive.

so heng ah we have no kids cos if i have a son and my daughter-in-law can't cook, i'd be v pek cek cos i'd worry about whether my son is being fed.

Not Pro Enough

sheesh... i think i need the new Macbook Pro. gabrielle (my Macbook Air) is just not powerful enough. now that i'm processing loads of photos, i need the space and speed which she cannot handle... while doing the slideshow for my company yesterday afternoon, she kept lagging... use lightroom also lag... sian -.- i do until super pek cek la... cos my slideshow was done on keynote and after adding the audio, i used the record slideshow function to do the timing for the entrance of the animations and she kept lagging. i do whole afternoon still cannot then pek cek like mad gave up went to zzz...

then my hero chris came back and offered to let me use his macbook pro and guess what? it was done in like *snap fingers* 10 mins...

*grumble grumble* i so need a macbook pro -.- but then again, i hope my company's lok kok computer can play my keynote slideshow (i converted to quicktime) without lagging otherwise i will be super pissed cos my animations n music is sui sui match one hor. now that i'm doing my own slideshows, i know precisely the amount of effort that goes into creating one. people watch it... finish in 3 mins but behind the scenes the creator actually put in crazy hours to create that one slideshow. got to do another BIG one middle of the year so gotta start sieving out photos liao... need think of a theme too...

and i also need a 24-70mm f/2.8L and 70-200mm f/2.8L and why don't they make L lenses that don't weigh a ton????!!!! how come good lenses must be like zng tao like that????? i have two choices: 1. nice pictures, broken back and injured shoulders 2. not so nice pics, aching back and painful shoulders. pek cek pek cek jin pek cek!!!

Donation Cards

-.- my kor gave me two donation cards each of value $250 for the school he is teaching in and asked me to help him "fill" so this morning i went around my office hee hee-ing =DD at my colleagues to ask them to help out...

thing is i hate these donation cards. he got 6 cards (that's $1500 in total) and gave two to my mum, two to me, he settle two. and got denominations of $2, $4, $5, $10 and $50. who will actually donate $50 you tell me??? i don't think i can help him "fill" both. that's too crazy... $500 -.- today after walking about i only managed to get $63... haiz... stressed.

Ultimate Doting Gu Gu

ha! my nieces birthday is coming!!! (actually it's in april but i'm excited already ^^) i told my kor i will sponsor the cake and i already have in mind where to get it. my choice is Pine Garden's cake =D the lychee martini cake is v nice and can get them to customise do cute cute

hee =DD

Supermarkets

shopping for groceries at a supermarket for me is therapeutic. so imagine my horror when my colleagues wanted to go to sheng siong that day *gasp*

when we approached, we were hit by the stench of not-fresh seafood =P although sheng siong sells live seafood, the "dead" seafood STINKS -.- and the aisles are soooooo super cramped, so claustrophobic siah. i see already also don't want to buy anything. my colleagues are v cute one... they will recce see NTUC this one cheap, sheng siong that one cheap... cheaper by... 5c... -_______________-||| LOL cos we were buying something for the dept in bulk ma so save 5c in bulk can be quite substantial...

i smsed G...

me: wa, today i first time go sheng siong neh...
G: i hate sheng siong. v stink. the bedok one worse er...

i asked V to take a pic of me using my i-phone standing outside sheng siong then those uncles and aunties diao me like i am a turtle from the moutains... -.- i never go before ma...

LOL

my favourite supermarket has got to be meidi-ya at liang court but when i mentioned the name to my colleagues, CC went... "ha? what's that?" -.- they're so cute la... meidi-ya is a japanese supermarket. here are some reasons why i like it:

1. if you want to buy jap food, they have everything under the sun... i mean, japanese sun.
2. the sushi and sashimi are very very fresh!!! and they've got the good stuff like uni (sea urchin) *slurp* and otoro (tuna belly) *yum* not the usual fare.
3. the items are organised so neatly and the lanes so spacious that shopping there is such a pleasure.
4. they play japanese music.
5. ice packs are available so you can keep your seafood fresh on the way home.
6. they open all counters so the Q is never too long
7. they have REAL fuji apples from japan (not the from china ones). the sekai ichi (world's no. 1) variety is our favourite.
8. the seafood is so fresh and the prep work has all been done just need to rinse and cook. fish nicely fillet-ed, prawns de-shelled and de-veined etc.
9. they sell obento (japanese lunch boxes)
10. they sell wagyu (japanese beef) and kani (crab)
11. the trolleys are slightly smaller so not so bulky
12. their plastic bags are thicker not so easy tear and leak unlike the NTUC and cold storage ones.
13. shopping there reminds me of japan =)

the other supermarkets i like are cold storage at great world city and paragon marketplace, mainly for the range, the spaciousness and good organisation.

My Morning Routine

Since CY blogged about his, it's my turn. my colleagues wonder how i can cook lunch in the morning and bring to the office. this is how:

every morning i wake up at 545 am if i need to prepare lunch or 6 am if i decide to eat out for lunch. let's say i'm cooking rice, steamed toufu w prawns and veg, i'd wake up, let west n claire out, then steam rice. make veggies, make breakfast. then drink two glasses of water n one capsule of royal jelly, da pian, brush teeth, wash face. put make-up. halfway through (before eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow pencil), add toufu to steam. then go back continue make up. then about 10 mins later, pack all into my food in my vacuum flask thingy.

wake chris up. if unsuccessful, shake him. if still unsuccessful. shout, "DEAR!!!!" sometimes he will mumble, "keh you pa me my too brah?" which means "can you pass me my toothbrush?" so i'd squeeze toothpaste on his toothbrush and stick it in his mouth but he will just suck it until i scream at him again so he will get up to brush, still half asleep. sometimes he will play w west n claire while brushing. sometimes he brush liao will go back to sleep w toothbrush in the mouth. sometimes he will sit inside west n claire's enclosure n brush then stone inside with toothbrush in mouth.

then when i'm done w my make-up, chris will start ironing his shirt. i change clothes, brush hair put hair conditioner etc etc. then chris will have gotten dressed and he will go outside and sprawl out on the couch sleep again. if i still don't come out he will holler, "hurry up dear!"

then we rush out of house at 7am or 710am =P

I LOVE APPLE!!!!

and i'm not talking about the kind you can eat =P

yes, i think i officially have the coolest presentation tool in my office. today i gave a presentation using keynote '09 on my macbook air with my i-phone as the remote control. for a mere US 99c, the i-phone keynote RAWKS!!! i can walk around the room while remote controlling my kickass animations with my i-phone and the best thing i love about it is the presenter notes function. i can key in presenter notes and it displays on my i-phone under each slide. cue cards??? who uses cue cards anymore???!!! LOL... =DDDDD before that i tested it on MRT, roy and june and they were all v impressed. G was impressed too...

not say i want to say but APPLE ROCKS!!!!!!!! totally....

Jack Of All Trades

i've always thought i'm a jack of all trades and pick up things v fast... but recently, i discovered TWO areas i lack in =(

as you all know, i started taking driving lessons... my instructor told me that day...

instructor: hm... maybe you should pay daytona... it will help.
me: -.-

and my office just started some wellbeing personal enrichment programme for staff (now v liu2 xing2 a lot of corporate bodies do that) and i signed up for guitar. after the first lesson, i excitedly showed my other colleagues HY and HM what i learnt (which was stand by me)

HM: *silence*
HY: i think you should stick to singing

*sobs* guitar's not my thing... finger pain, wrist pain... play F chord so difficult. piano just DANG! F! guitar got to think... er which string ha? which fret ha? -.-

next round i will sign up for cooking. can learn ayam buah keluak etc... the chim stuff. better.

Cheek To Cheek

I wish Chris and i dance... i used to dance when i was in JC... rock n roll. it was a mass PE thing and i liked it so much and i must have been quite good my PE teacher asked me to be his partner to teach the cohort. I'm suddenly itching to dance again... =)

One of my all time favourite songs is Cheek To Cheek from the 1935 movie Top Hat. nope, i've never watched it though i hope to but the first time i heard this song was while watching the movie The Green Mile starring Tom Hanks. There was a scene where the convict who was to be executed asked to watch a movie and Tom Hanks played this for him. He watched it with so much awe as a child seeing Disneyland for the first time. Well, with a song like this, i'm not surprised =)

Originally sung by Fred Astaire

other famous versions include:

Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald's

Frank Sinatra's (which i love)

i also totally LOVE Steve Tyrell's version which i have (^^)V but sorry can't find on youtube =P

Best Love Letter

Today on my way to church in a cab, the cab happened to have one of those lil TV sets so i can't help but watch it and they were showing Valentine's Day messages from people to those they love. some are REALLY rou ma *buay tahan*

well, reading those messages reminded me of a love letter i received a long time ago... it's not exactly the very lomantik ala korean drama kind but i felt v v gandong reading it... can say it's my First Love =) nope, it's not chris =P

This is what was written:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Psalm 139:

1 O LORD, you have searched me
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.

3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.

4 Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O LORD.

5 You hem me in—behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.

6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, [a] you are there.

9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,

10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"

12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.

14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.

15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

17 How precious to [b] me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you.

which reminds me of a song Your Love by Don Moen and Marty Nystrom. It's an old song so couldn't find it on Youtube or anywhere =( but i know how to sing la hahaha:

Where can I go from Your Spirit?
How can I escape Your love?
Your love for me is deeper than the sea
And higher than the heavens above.

Where can I flee from your presence,
Now that you abide in my heart?
My heart is your home, your temple, your throne,
So what could ever keep us apart?

Chorus:
Your love is higher than the heavens.
Your love is deeper than the ocean.
Nothing in creation could take me away from your love.
Your love, there is nothing greater.
Your love, there is nothing stronger.
You came to me, gave your life
So I could be free.

Who can explain your mercy?
Who can comprehend your ways?
You showed me your grace by taking my place
And washing all my sorrow away.

I just want to live in your presence,
Worship you with all of my heart.
Show me the way, draw me closer each day.
Don’t let anything keep up apart.

Repeat Chorus:

Bridge:
I am persuaded that neither death nor life
Can separate us from the love of Christ.
Nothing in the present and nothing to come
Could take me away from your infinite love.

Repeat Chorus

i feel better today so i arranged them properly in a vase ^^

Fei3 Mui1

in cantonese means "fat girl"

that's what we call claire now... cos this morning she lao sai then chris so kancheong brought her to vet. vet says nothing serious but commented that claire is mildly obese... hm... claire is not as active as west that's why. and she has some matted fur on her butt vet says may be because she is too fat cannot reach that part when grooming...

like penguin arms too short bathe that time can only clean front cannot clean back like that.

Xiao Bai + Xiao Bai = ??

CC asked me this qian bian wen da ti...

Q: Xiao Bai + Xiao Bai = ??

EEP

I am suffering from EEP - Exhaustion due to Excessive Photography... as yall know, i've been taking photos for my company and the past one month or so has been shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot *pant pant*

at times, when i see my photos, i think they're quite nice... then i see MRT's photos and i want to dig a hole and hide LOL

MRT: eh, this time i only edit 3-4...
me: oh? wa...
MRT: cos my D3 the colour v nice! =DD
me: you win lor... my 400D edit ka ai see -.-

affirms my theory of "you pay peanuts, you get monkeys" -.-

after a while, i feel that my photos look the same... nothing fresh or new. i feel sian looking at my own photos. but i have absolutely no time to chute any pattern and no money to upgrade -.-

now DELETE function is my favourite. shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot delete. shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot delete. that way not so many photos to plough through at the end of each event. that time the big event i shoot 606 photos from 5:30pm to 9pm -_______-||| end up only edit 45. i usually select less than 10% to edit and i do only simple tweaking like contrast, curves, blacks, exposure. i don't use photoshop. i find it too painful. lightroom is my choice tool and for every event, there will be at most 3 i really like n try to edit nicely =) AT MOST 3 means 0-3 la. so sometimes don't have haha

MRT only levels his photos in photoshop. roy just plonks everything onto server LOL ... even our cam whore photos -.- he didn't know G n i cam whored with his camera that day. MRT saw on the server and asked "wa! what u all doing ha??!!! fooling around?!" hahaha... kelvin, is like me will try to edit nice nice (if have time) but he uses photoshop.

now, for every event, i

1. shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot
2. open CF card in PC look see look see. not nice = DELETE! don't bother rotating first.
3. then copy all uneditted ones onto server in new folder, label date YYYYMMDD event name. subfolder ANN.
4. then plug out CF card, cha into margaret, view pics on PC, but select photos to edit in lightrrom on margaret.
5. export edited ones out into burn folder, subfolder "selected" or "postprocessed". i use "selected" if i tired chin chai-ly edit. i use "postprocessed" if i try to edit sui sui. LOL
6. export one more time 350 x 250 for uploading onto website. put into "screen view" subfolder in burn folder.
7. copy the rest of the uneditted ones into burn folder. so burn folder contains ALL uneditted ones, selected/postprocessed and screen views.
8. burn into CD. eject CD. label CD
9. put CD back into PC and load "selected" and "screen view" onto server.
10. while waiting, load the screen views using margaret onto website ONE BY ONE.
11. keep CD in sleeve.

steps 6 and 10 only for tua liap events. those ikan bilis ones no need. but still, it's tiring. i wonder how MRT does it... his shoes v big to fill... *pant*

o the reason why i need to use two computers - 1 PC 1 apple is cos my PC ain't got no lightroom and my apple can't load onto server -.- diao LOL

hope i don't get EEEP which is Extreme EEP. i very scared i will tio durian syndrome. last time i liked durian one. but one day my dad bought a lot a lot of durian my whole family eat n eat n eat. put in fridge. breakfast - eat. lunch - eat. dinner - eat. so i just suddenly hate durian... until now.

Better F&B Standard

Crystal Jade Korean seriously needs a salad spinner. that day we ordered the BBQ beef rib (the more expensive one, $26 per plate) which was supposed to be served with lettuce and it came with a plate of DRIPPING WET lettuce -.- how can like that???? there was even a layer of water at the bottom! wa piang... how can i go to a restaurant, pay money to eat and yet, the lettuce is not as dry as if i have had it at home???!!!! how can? you say how can????? *wave hands frantically in the air*

and that time i ordered tea at a cafe (can't remember name), they gave me a COLD teacup. yes. cold like from the fridge and they expect me to pour my HOT tea into the COLD cup!!!! i was so pissed... told the waitress...

me: -.- the teacup is cold
waitress: ha???

she didn't get the idea so i asked to see the manager and then the manager quickly gave me a warmed teacup.

buay tahan the horrible standard.

Funky Auntie

Ah yo, nowsaday the aunties are v funky... yesterday on the bus (yes, contrary to popular belief, i like to take bus and MRT cos it's cheap cheap n i don't feel like puking when i read, SMS, MSN etc...), i saw an auntie with golden hair tied into a high bun, purple fringe and purple eyeliner!!! AAAHHHH!!!! so salah!!! i was v tempted to take a second look by pretending to forget to tap my card neh... and i happened to have my 400D with 18-200mm lens with me so v tempted to catch a shot of her... but haiz, i didn't...

Wake Up Service

In most good hotels, there's a wake-up call service. in our house, there's also a similar service. chris says nowadays he can't sleep in anymore LOL because every morning after i wake up, i will let them out to run. nowadays we allow them to come into the room because we r sure they won't dirty the place. so West will come into the room and kiss chris' feet. then he will climb all over chris, sometimes sit on his face, smell smell here, sniff sniff there. and when he walks on the platform bed, his tiny paws will pitter patter... so cute!!! hahaha... then he will come into my wardrobe and watch me put on make-up... he has a thing for skirts... he'd hide between my long skirts and while putting make-up i can see in the mirror the swishing around of my skirts LOL

so cute =D

Furball

One of the things you must get used to if you have a pet is FUR, FUR and FUR. especially if you have a furry pet (fish, lizards all that don't say la -.-) and especially when they're molting. this fan is switched on 24/7 for west and claire and is placed right outside their enclosure. every week, i "peel" off a layer of fur after which i will vacuum it.

it's molting period for west...

and that's not including the fur i suck around the house. when i pour the water out of my vacuum cleaner and wash the insides of the rubber and steel tubes, there'll be a clump of fur.

(by i-phone)

a lot hor?? tsk tsk tsk.

Steamboat Party

Can someone tell me why I'm so excited??!! =DDDDD

The Chinese have a saying "Ginger is old then spicy" and that can't be more true when it comes to my ex-colleague MRT. remember MRT has retired? Ba Wang Can

Chi Ba Wang Can means "eat a meal already never pay"

well, recently we ate Ba Wang Can... unintentionally...

today i was shopping at the minimart downstairs, running my eyes across the loaves of bread when the Zichar stall girl came over my shoulder...

girl: xiao jie, that time you called to order an assam fish n veg... erm... you have not paid...
me: HA????!!! what?
girl: ya, you came down to eat but you forgot to pay... you were with a man...
me: GASP!!! oh no... so sorry... ya ya, we forgot to pay and just went home... that's my husband... oh dear... how much is it?
girl: $XX
me: *rummage through my LV wallet* er... i don't have enough cash... nets can?
girl: er... cannot... never mind la, another day...
me: so sorry >.<

then i think she went back to tell her colleagues and they looked at me... they must be wondering... this woman dress so nicely, nice shoes, nice bag, nice wallet... no money to pay -.-

Wa biang, so malu!!! i quickly went home, grabbed some leftover ang bao money and went down to pay her...

over dinner....

me: dear, remember that day we had assam fish n veg downstairs?
chris: ya?
me: we eat already slap slap backside came home didn't pay!!!
chris: !!!! ha??!!
me: ya!
chris: oh dear... haha... now that u say, ya... haha... oops, sorry =D
me: so malu! we eat ba wang can!!!

they also didn't stop us cos the zichar stall downstairs is usually v v crowded so i think they didn't notice until we left =P LOL

My Colleague Says The Darnest Things

Today my colleague P asked us a question and the answer really cracked us up...

Q: Why are penguins white in front dark at the back?

scroll down...

A: cos their hands too short bathe that time can only clean in front cannot clean the back

LOLLLLL -.-

actually, the real scientific reason is God's divine creation. penguins being prey, predators from above when they look down will see the penguin as blending into the sea bed while predators from below will see the penguins blending into the sky. yeah...

hands too short -.-
